Heal Pain Naturally with Regenerative Medicine
Avoid Surgery, Drugs, and Prolonged Recovery
The breakthrough new field of Regenerative Medicine…
is a sub-specialty that harnesses our body’s natural ability to repair, rebuild, and restore damaged tissues.
Advances in cellular biology are empowering doctors to eliminate pain and heal injured tissues without drugs, cortisone, or surgery.
Platelets Are the Key to Natural Healing
Your Body’s Built-In Tissue-Repair Activators
Our blood is comprised of:
- Plasma = 55%
- White blood cells < 4%
- Platelets <1%
- Red blood cells = 41 %
When an injury occurs…
Platelets rush to the site to coagulate the blood, which stops the bleeding.
Platelets also release critical chemical messengers that activate the natural healing cascade.
These messengers circulate through the blood vessels, signaling other natural healing agents and stem cells to converge on the injury.
Without platelets…
- The healing cascade doesn’t start,
- Growth factors and stem cells aren’t attracted and activated,
- Injured tissues don’t heal,
- The pain never goes away.
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is the Medicine
Natural Medicine Made from Our Patient’s Own Blood
Shortly after researchers realized platelets’ critical role in activating tissue repair and regeneration, innovative doctors developed a way to concentrate them in plasma.
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is made by spinning a small vial of the patient’s own blood in a special, high-tech centrifuge for about 15 minutes. This isolates a high concentration of platelets and pure plasma.
Each thimble full of enriched PRP contains between one and one-and-a-half million platelets, 6 to 8 times our bloods’ normal concentration. Because it is made from our patient’s own blood, there is almost zero risk of rejection, infection, or complications.
The simple, in-office procedure takes less than an hour, including check-in, PRP preparation, treatment, and check-out.
Enriched-Platelet Therapy with PRP
Has Revolutionized the Treatment of Hard-to-Heal Wounds and Injuries
Early 1990s: Jaw Reconstruction Surgery
Pioneering dental surgeons used enriched-platelet therapy to promote healing in cancer patients after reconstructive jaw surgery.
Mid 1990s: Open Heart Surgery
Leading heart surgeons soon applied concentrated platelets to breast bones after open heart surgery to promote healing and reduce risk of infections.
Early 2000s: Accelerated Sports-Injury Recovery
Innovative sports doctors started injecting concentrated platelets into elite athletes’ injured joints, tendons, and ligaments. The treatments enabled the athletes to get back in the game in weeks instead of being sidelined for months, with traditional surgical procedures.
2008-Present: Proof of Effectiveness
Medical researchers publish a large and growing number of studies that document the amazing healing powers of enriched-platelet therapy using PRP.
Today, We Use Enriched-Platelet Therapy with PRP to Heal Many Chronic Soft Tissue & Joint Conditions
Which Type of Platelet-Rich Plasma is Right for You?
Dr. Kassicieh has developed three different formulations of platelet-rich plasma for use in his Enriched-Platelet Therapy. Each one is optimized for healing specific injuries or conditions.
- Enhanced PRP
- Best for chronic severe plantar fasciitis and foot pain. 5 to 8 times the normal concentration of platelets.
- Matrix PRP
- Even higher concentration of platelets with added growth factors, cytokines, and stem-cell recruiting messengers – best for typical knee and shoulder injuries. This is our most commonly used formulation because it is effective for the widest range of joint, tendon, and ligament conditions.
- ULTRA PRP
- The best formulation for conditions requiring 2 or more treatments including arthritic (bone-on-bone) knees, back/neck pain from failed spine surgery.
- Minor possibility of infection – less than 1%
- No other known risks — you can’t be worse off after EPT treatment
